The Andersen No-Sway, No-Bounce Weight Distribution Hitch is a smooth, silent, and simple solution for travel trailers. The design of this weight distribution hitch eliminates the need for sway bars entirely, raising the bar and providing unparalleled sway control that self-adjusts.

The hitch consists of several key components, including a grease-free system that comes in either a 2" or 2-5/16" ball, tongue brackets that fit 3", 4", 5", and 6" trailer frames, and an adjustable steel rack with 4", 6", or 8" drop/rise options. Additionally, it features 2", 2-1/2", or 3" shanks/receivers and motion springs and tension chains, which act as shock absorbers to prevent bouncing, similar to traditional weight distribution hitches.

The Andersen Weight Distribution Hitch efficiently shifts the tow vehicle's weight forward towards the front axle, without any lifting. This advantage, combined with the motion-dampening chains and patented springs, eliminates the unnecessary bounce that can occur with traditional weight distribution hitches.

The sway control in the ball housing system self-adjusts to the tongue load, meaning the heavier the load, the greater the sway control. The system recommends at least 300 lbs on the tongue to allow the mechanism to provide anti-sway using the friction material in the housing.

The hitch's tapered ball connects to the anti-sway plate, integrating the motion-dampening chain and spring system. The friction cone, a brake-like material, works with the tapered ball and ball housing to eliminate sway, with the friction between the ball and housing allowing the hitch to "self-adjust" according to the tongue weight.

The anti-sway ball housing securely holds the tapered ball and friction cone in place, with two holes allowing for height adjustment on the adjustment rack. This grease-free system allows the ball and coupler to move as one, and the hitch can also be used as a standard ball mount for towing without weight distribution.
